The fabric has a wash away template. Follow the template stitching lines then wash the fabric to remove the washable ink. You can baste the template to another piece of fabric and use the other fabric as the fashion side. I will make a small video showing this process.

Sashiko is an ancient form of stitching or embroidery used to mend and reinforce clothes. It can also be used to decorate pillows, quilts and other garments. It is becoming popular again for patches on jeans and jackets. This is a washable pattern to follow for beginner Sashiko sewists.
